Drivers who have had a photocard licence for 10 years must renew it in time or face harsh penalties the DVLA has warned.
Licences are valid for a decade after being issued, and anyone who continues to drive once theirs has expired is committing a serious offence, as your insurance will no longer be valid. This can result in £1,000 fines, or even a seized vehicle.
Once your licence expires, all you need to do is renew it, and there are several ways to do so.
