British Caribbean Veterans: Serving Queen and Country

This book recognises and celebrates the contribution made by 32 Caribbean men and women to the British Armed Forces and therefore to the late Queen and to the United Kingdom after the 1960s. They served in the Army, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. These brave men and women were either born in the Caribbean, coming from several different Islands, or were born in the UK to Caribbean parents. They are British and are proud of the service they have provided to their country, the United Kingdom.

She hopes that by you taking this Book journey with her, you will be able to see what these amazing ex-servicemen and women have done on behalf of all of us. Their challenges and resilience will resonate with many of you as you reflect on your own personal lives, workplaces and organisations. You will recognise much as you read and listen to how Rose managed to get them to share honestly the stories of â€˜how they fought inside and outside’ and still maintained loyalty and commitment in their national defence work.
