We aim to provide life-enhancing services and vital support to people in later life. We and our local partners deliver a range of services across the UK.

In your area

We have around 130 local Age UKs across the country, offering a variety of services to help you in later life.

Our shops

Age UK has just over 400 charity shops around the country which offer a wide and ever-changing range of goods.

Age UK Advice Line

Our free, confidential national phone service offers advice on everything from money and benefits to retirement and care.

The Silver Line helpline

A free confidential helpline offering conversation and friendship, information and advice, and protection and support.

Befriending services

Help us end loneliness through our ‘visiting’ services, either on the phone or in an older person’s own home.

Our local Age UKs run a variety of different services. Not all services take place in every area, but all local Age UKs will be able to help you find what you’re looking for.

Cafes and restaurants

Our cafes and restaurants are friendly and relaxed places for older people to get together over a cup of tea or a home cooked meal.

Day centres

Our hugely popular day centres aim to improve the quality of life for older people by helping them to be independent.

Exercise & physical activity

There’s something to suit everyone at Age UK’s wide range of exercise classes.

Foot care

Over 80 local Age UKs have trained workers who will provide a basic level of foot care, such as toenail cutting.

Handyperson services

More than 70 local Age UKs operate handyperson services across much of the country.

Home help

We provide professional and friendly help with day-to-day domestic tasks to help older people to stay in their homes for longer.

IT training courses

Age UK computer training courses explain things clearly in plain English to help you get online.

Social activities

Our local Age UKs are a doorway to a huge variety of social events, groups for older people and local leisure activities.
